The study of the entanglement entropy of quantum many body systems
is a very active area of research attracting the interest of various
communities in theoretical physics, applied mathematics and quantum computation. In the context of many-body systems, the entanglement entropy has found some of its most important conceptual and practical applications, many of which the fruit of work by invited speakers to this meeting.
The objective of this conference is to bring together leading experts from the theoretical physics, applied mathematics and quantum computation communities as well as postdoctoral researchers and PhD students in the field. Senior researchers will present their recent results and provide a perspective on how the field might be evolving in the future, both through their seminars and through a discussion session which will take place at the end of the meeting. PhD students will have an opportunity to present posters at three poster sessions.
We intend to make the results, discussions and ideas emerging from this meeting as widely available to the community as possible. To this end, pdf files of all presentations will be made available at this site. If possible we may also post videos of the talks and discussion session.
All funding bodies which support this event are strongly committed to promoting women in science. We would therefore like to especially encourage female researchers to participate in this meeting.
